The goals of the grant are to: identify juveniles at risk to develop a substance abuse disorder, to raise awareness of the risks to develop a substance abuse disorder, and increase the number of drug and alcohol free days of juveniles who are in the Juvenile Justice System. To accomplish these goals, the Court uses a variety of interventions to include: supervision, remote alcohol monitoring, assessments, education, and monitoring.
The Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) is Tennessee's advocate for highway safety. This office works with law enforcement, judicial personnel and community advocates to coordinate activities and initiatives relating to the human behavioral aspects of highway safety.
