In April 2018 the Williamson County Juvenile Court added the new position of diversion specialist. The diversion specialist provides professional case management for assigned drug and alcohol cases filed in the juvenile court. They coordinate with service providers to determine available resources and make dispositional recommendations to the judicial staff while serving as a liaison between youth/families and the juvenile court.
