Williamson County Government is seeking applications for the position of Accountant I for the Department of Accounts and Budgets. The candidate will perform accounting work, including the maintenance and review of financial records, prepare various reports and statements, and perform a variety of technical tasks. Candidate must have technical skills to analyze and interpret financial data as well as communication skills both verbal and written.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, or other finance related field is required, along with 2-3 years working experience preferred.
Knowledge of government accounting principles and procedures is preferred along with Tyler Technologies MUNIS software.
Applicants for this position should have the qualifications and experience necessary to understand and perform tasks such as those listed above and other similar duties.
Pay range is 19.91-25.38/hr dependent on experience, education and qualifications.
