The Clerk and Master has statutory authority to:
- Appoint conservators, guardians and personal representatives of estates
- Adjudicate claims against an estate
- Probate wills in common form
- Determine allowances to surviving spouse and family
- Preside over assignment of homestead
- Hear and determine all probate matters, except solemn form probates
The Chancellor hears all will contests.
