Meadowgreen/Grassland Sewer Construction Project Update (12/09/08)
On December 9th, 2008 The Franklin Board of Mayor and Alderman approved & enter local agreement accepting the Meadowgreen/Grassland Sewer Project with Williamson County.
Meadwogreen/Grassland Sewer Construction Project Update (10/28/08)
On 10/28/08, the Franklin Board of Mayor and Alderman approved entering into contract negotiations with Williamson County to extend sewer access to the Meadowgreen area, including an upgrade to the Fieldstone Farms Pump Station #2. As a result of this action, Williamson County and Franklin officials are negotiating the terms of an agreement, which will be presented back to the governing bodies of both entities for approval.
Meadowgreen/Grassland Sewer Construction Project Update (09/29/08)
- Last week, legal counsel completed the final outstanding condemnation matters to finalize the sewer easements necessary to put the project out to bid. Williamson County continues to negotiate the terms of an agreement with Lynwood Utility for acceptance of effluent from the sewer project area, and this negotiation is nearing completion. Following completion of this agreement, Lynwood Utility and Williamson County will be required to jointly petition the Tennessee Regulatory Authority for approval of the agreement and to formally authorize Lynwood Utility to serve the project area.
- As an alternative and to ensure that the best possible project is made available for the citizens of the project area, Williamson County also recently approached the City of Franklin to consider an interlocal agreement to accept the effluent from the sewer project area.
- Construction drawings have been completed and technical specifications for placing the project out for bid are currently being finalized. (They will need minor adjustments in the event that the effluent is accepted by the City of Franklin.)
- All of the necessary permits have been acquired from the State.
