Development Standards

The Role of the Special Area Plan

A Special Area Plan can help a community realize its vision for the future and reconcile the differences between opposing viewpoints to create a cohesive and sustainable future for a community.

In August of 2012, Williamson County began the process of creating a Special Area Plan for the Grassland Village.  Over the course of six public meetings and extensive public input, a long-range plan was developed.  In March 2014, that Plan was adopted by the Williamson County Planning Commission, and in May 2014 it was endorsed by the Williamson County Board of Commissioners.

Proposed Development Standards - A Summary

A summary version of the Proposed Development Standards is available to view here.

Please note that the document is a summary, and the final version brought for review before the Williamson County Regional Planning Commission will be formatted as a complete amendment for incorporation into the full Zoning Ordinance.
