BOPAE (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze & Electronics)

Household hazardous waste
City of Franklin Sanitation and Environmental Services provides a free, year-round BOPAE collection service to Williamson County residents. Residents are able to drop off batteries, oil, (oil-based) paint, antifreeze, and electronics at The City of Franklin Transfer Station located at 417 Century Ct.

Previously, these items would only be accepted during the Household Hazardous Waste Collection events, sponsored by Keep Williamson Beautiful and the Williamson County Solid Waste Department. City of Franklin and Williamson County formed an inter-local agreement to make this service available to residents four days a week, as well as on the first Saturday of every month.

BOPAE Drop-off Hours

Monday through Thursday: 6 a.m - 4 p.m.
First Saturday of Every Month: 8 a.m. to noon (12 p.m.)

This is a free service for Williamson County residents only, and commercial waste will not be accepted.

Effective January 1, 2021, City of Franklin's BOPAE drop-off will no longer accept latex paint. For at-home disposal of latex paint, check out these tips!
