BOPAE (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze & Electronics)
Household hazardous waste
The City of Franklin Sanitation and Environmental Services provides a free, year-round BOPAE collection service to Williamson County residents. Residents are able to drop-off batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze, and electronics at the City of Franklin Transfer Station located at 417 Century Ct. Now also accepted are CFL bulbs and fluorescent tubes.

Previously, these items would only be accepted during the Household Hazardous Waste Collection days sponsored by Keep Williamson Beautiful and the Williamson County Solid Waste Department. The City of Franklin and Williamson County formed an inter-local agreement to make this service available to residents five days a week, as well as on the first Saturday of every month.

BOPAE Drop-off Hours
Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m
First Saturday of Every Month: 8 a.m. to noon (12 p.m.)

Again, this is a free service for Williamson County residents only and commercial waste will not be accepted. For more information about the City of Franklin's free BOPAE service including the specifics of what items will be accepted, click here.
